    Good

quietness of the room; availability of family room

very small bathroom (you have to be slender)

    Superb

Modern and well decorated.Food and breakfast excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful on all matters. Quite a homely hotel.

There was a lovely bar in the hotel , but we were reluctant to use it because it was effectively used as a ' local pub ' and had rather noisey pool games( snooker ) being played etc. May be difficult for the hotel as they rely on these customers during the off season , but it does conflict with running a hotel for guests.........maybe get rid of the pool table.

    Fabulous

Staff very friendly and efficient. Room bright, clean. I am a poor sleeper but found bed comfortable and cosy. Convenient for visiting St Ives but steep hill to access local beach.

Inconvenient parking across road and had to struggle across road with luggage.

    Very good

Room was very good. The restaurant offered a very limited dinner menu and the food was okay but nothing special.

    Fabulous

hotel staff extreamly friendly, signage not very good @ front of hotel so passed it first time, but overall nice hotel

breakfast on day 2 was very slow, hotel was busy that morning but should have been able to cope..

Seaview. Tea and coffeee facilities in room and toiletries available. Co-operative staff despite deficiencies in hotel.

    1) Too far from town considering price - £114 for a double room in a hotel 2-3 miles from St Ives town centre. 2) Shower was leaking the entire stay so another bathroom had to be used. 3) Breakfast was mediocre.

    Superb

I wasn't at the Atlantic for long. However I very much enjoyed my stay. The staff were fantastic. In particular a member called Jo. She was brilliant! She always had a smile upon her face and a willingness to be of help. On check out there was a slight problem with the card machine. However no problems seemed to phase her and the issue was rectified quickly, efficiently and again with a smile. Thank you Atlantic hotel for a very pleasant stay with special praise for Jo!

    Fabulous

The staff were extremley helpful especially the lady on recepetion who was great and helped out with my train times, the location is great but unless you are staying at Hotel Posh down on the beach then expect a steep hill climb from the station to the main road where the majority of hotels are, the breakfast (see below), economy budget room was really nice and very clean , small but didnt expect a suite for the price.definately recommended

My friends had mentioned that the English breakfast was way to salty the day previous, they were right, it was as if someone in the kitchen was on some sort of salt frenzy, shame otherwise top notch.

The view is great. The hotel looks the part, nice looking restaurant, nice looking lounge and bar. Rooms look nice. The lady on reception was very pleasant and the lad at the bar and in the restaurant was very pleasant, but they werent always there and the reception was always manned.

The level of the music in the restaurant and the bar/lounge. We had to ask for it to be turned down in the restaurant on our first morning at breakfast. You couldnt hear yourself talk, let alone think! We were at the tail end of the breakfast sitting and there was only 1 lad who seemed to like very loud music as it was him in the bar each time we went in. The lounge was lovely and we would have liked to have stayed and had a drink there and perhaps a snack each night but the level of noise drove us out. Also there seemed to be a small childs birthday party on Saturday night and that added to the level of noise. Monday morning everything seemed more muted and there seemed to be more and different staff around. We got the feeling that the normal (in charge) staff where not there at the weekend. We also found the beds incredibly hard and uncomfortable and thus all had very bad nights sleep. We also had someone come straight into 2 of the rooms when they were looking for a leak. One of the guests wasnt dressed and the girl had to be stopped from barging into the bathroom/bedroom. She seemed very impatient about waiting for the gentleman to get dressed. The other guest was asleep on her bed when they just entered her room. A leak is understandably important but a bit more courtesy would be nice.

    Fabulous

The staff were very friendly and could not do enough to help. The food was first class and the restaurant comfortable and attractive with sea views from many tables.

Guests can be noisy in the corridors and outside rooms early in the morning and late at night but this can apply to most hotels.

    Good

The breakfasts were good, except I requested kippers as shown on the menu but none were available. No lounge area in which to relax ,only easy chairs available were adjacent to the bar/snooker room which was rather noisy.

The hotel is well situated for Carbis Bay & St.Ives.

    Superb

It was a lovely comfortable, spotlessly clean hotel & the beds were very comforable. The staff were very nice and helpful. The restaurant menu was a bit limited but the food they did serve was excelent. The bar area was very nice with comfy, sofas as well as tables and chairs. I would recomend this hotel to anyone.

Not very well situated for the little town of St Ives bay as it was too far to walk but the buses are very regular. The car park is opposite the hotel but it's not very well sign posted and easy to miss.
